The Events of January 6, 2021 at the US Capitol will be edged in stone, data centers, and the psyche of every American as the day The Republic was Reborn! The struggle of the majority of American’s pain finally spilled into hollowed holy land (Although, carried out by Trumpers) and our elected officials could not run or hide from the problem they’ve been sweeping under the rug for decades. To be objective, it was the ugliest scene in our history I’ve been alive for. There will be homicide investigations and Federal charges coming, possibly to the highest office in the land. The city on the hill lost its shine and the New Rome, only Superpower; has misplaced its supporters. Enough so, white men disgraced and tarnished what is to have the upmost respect of a patriot, and chanted, “Hang Mike Pence!” This was not ANTIFA or BLM kids slamming on some Nike and Apple stores, this was a middle finger, (Seditious) to all elected officials from the working class disenfranchised suburban Caucasian. It had more emotion than their disobedient vote for “The Donald,” in 2016. Michael Moore had the pulse of Michigan back then. He said 11-4-2016 on CNBC, “People are upset. They’re angry at the system and they see Trump — not so much that they agree with him — but they see him as the human Molotov cocktail that they get to toss into the system with Brexit and blow it up, send a message.”
I can recall a brain teaser at a coffee shop in Minnesota 2008 on a chalkboard, it read, “Which country has the oldest constitution?” Immediately, I knew, but my boss was puzzled, even though he was smarter than me. Our Republic is the longest running, suck it Europe, but it feels in jeopardy and fragile. The first throws of the insurgency are being tossed because the system, is failing us!
As Michael points out, people lives have not gotten better under a Bush/Obama double dip. For crying out loud, Flint’s public water will not just make you sick but KILL YOU! Obama’s little sip of “Pure Michigan” is laughable and Bush’s complete meltdown of, well, everything, has the public pissed. After 2000, “Hanging Chad’s,” 9/11, Afghanistan, Iraq, Osama, Al Qaeda, Outsourcing, Katrina, Great Recession, Bank Bailouts, Cash for Clunkers, Obama Care, Benghazi, Libya, Opioid Pandemic, ISIS, North Korea, Charlottesville, Suicides, Syria, Covid, George Floyd, Americans pitted against Americans has us ready to explode! “Risings,” Krystal Ball was clearly irate at the President’s lack of self-awareness starting off the riots and called him out like he should be. America is a tinder box ready to explode and the Presidents lack of self-awareness of others is alarming.
“We The People,” have not been thought of first like it was written. Hunter Biden’s and Don Jr’s have the working class ready to, “Strike First.” The Bush Doctrine; says specifically this! The defacto royal family of Bush/Clinton has middle aged Americans like myself; waiting for our Time! I see unity in a Congressional Representative like Tulisi Gabbard, both my cop friend, (Trumper) and my liberal friend agree, she’s us, our future, together, reasonable. I have hope in a New Republic. The old guard must come down in an extreme fashion to usher in a New Order. Blood was spilled as expected and we are on the cusp of coming together.
The American Dream repeated over and over to me as a child, “You can be whatever you want to be, even President,” is now a realized pipe dream. The fascism the free world fought against in the 1940’s has taken over The Republic in the form of Corporatism. The average college graduate is 30k in debt to begin, aka, indentured servitude. Their data has been captured for the last decade without compensation and so they reluctantly return to the family den, 2.9 million, according to the “Atlantic” in July.
The selling out of the Union has been on since Nixon took us off the gold standard. Reagan, trickle-down economics, aka voodoo economics, has not proven advantageous for the public. NAFTA was the bow tie on a fleeting manufacturing high school educated population that was expendable. See Andrew Yang’s book, The War on Normal People. The bailout proved the banks superseded any individual rights or well-being, bankruptcy laws were amended, and unions declined while, “Right to work States,” flourished.
It took a braggadocios; orange man from reality TV, to unleash the pressure building up in the melting pot of the world. The constant BS between Liberals and Conservatives is a smoke screen. They both supported Iraq, the bailout, and the status quo. The Congressional approval rating has been under 20% for some time while 40.6 million live in poverty in the richest country in the world. Only 36% of Americans hold Bachelor’s Degrees, 58 million have IRA’s, and before Covid, 13.7 million households suffered food insecurity in 2019 according to NPR. This is unacceptable to any compassionate, descent, and conscious human being!
The old guard is on the way out and the next generation is ready to claim its birthright. This country’s ideals are rooted in undeniable rights bestowed upon men of all races, creeds, religions, backgrounds, from their creator. The vail is being lifted while we struggle through a pandemic, social distancing, job loss, and a division amongst neighbors that is artificial. The powder keg is ready to blow because both sides see destruction of all self and their way of life.
The actions at the Capitol seemed staged to me, although the deaths don’t. How can Federal Agents, (3 from video) stand down on such important day, with VIP’s in the building, and let men run amuck? For reference, let’s not forget, “The Donald,” gassed protestors, with plenty of backup and walked over later with a bible on June 1st. This was made for TV and really, maybe we needed it. Walking the walk is different, more real, more substance, more emotion, and more connection. All the legislators who objected the election without evidence should be ashamed and voted out.
The future is now, two white men over the age of 70, wealthy, east coasters, old money, will not call shots in a future Union of the People by the People, We Are Done! A $19 Trillion GDP should be invested in the common man, infrastructure, innovation, the environment, and education. The war machine needs to be halted and the empire needs to reassess the resources it’s expending to police the world.
The old world falls, but men and women will need to step up and fill the void. Voices and actions are dying to get out from Boise to Baltimore. Americans are not the smartest, not the most sophisticated, but we possess the spark, a belief. Thoughts of free men and women, in capitalist markets, creating, being represented, and growing, are the catalyst to a utopia. The fact we hold on to the vision and give credence to it is all the proof you need; we are the city shining on the hill.
