I was awoken by the ring of the phone downstairs on that Tuesday morning. Sleepy eyed and foggy I was greeted by Anthony, my workout partner, “We’re under attack, turn on the TV,” he yelled in haste. The boob-tube channeled the unknown, the North Tower smoking, reports of a commercial jet crashing into the World Trade Center was the consensus. Just then, a jet veered into the picture and slammed the South Tower with velocity, OMG, Jesus, and cuss words flew as the fire ball engulfed the tower on my black box 25in Sony. This was no accident! Chaos ensued from the shock waves generated from such a visual event and within an hour reports of a 3rd plane hitting the Pentagon surfaced. Within another hour the Twin Towers collapsed and America watched in horror. Fear endured through my biological makeup when my Aunt Jo called to check-in and made me aware of a 4th plane that had flown over our airspace in Ohio, with its sights on the Capital.
The loss of life in the homeland, broadcast in real time to the public was gripping. 2,726 innocent souls perished, in explosions, fire, collapses, trembling and leaping to their demise. Firefighters, paramedics, police, and other good samaritans when summoned, responded as heroes do, sacrificing in the face of death, for duty, for man, with tremendous courage and faith. America would be different from then on, for those watching, those living in NYC and D.C., and those personally affected by causalities. This is unacceptable for most patriots, and19 years later we still haven’t got to the bottom of this crime, (Khalid Shaikh Mohammed, plotter, due for January 21, 2021 trial, 20 years seems speedy) as an American it’s our duty to know the Truth for Justice, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.
Before we get started down this rabbit hole, let me state, I influenced my hardcore GOP leaning, Speech professor, with my 9/11 persuasive speech and scored a 100, “I haven’t handed one of these out all year, I want a copy,” she said. I say this in hopes you read to the end with an open mind.
The official story from the government and backed by the media, is that 19 men, of Saudi descent, were armed with box cutters and forced their way into the cockpits of 4 commercial jets, hijacking them. They proceeded to hit their targets in New York, D.C., and lost the 4th plane due to the passenger uprising, crashing in Shanksville, PA. They committed this suicide mission on the United States because as Bush said, “They hate our freedoms: our freedom of religion, our freedom of speech, our freedom to vote and assemble and disagree with each other.” If you agree with this, one, you haven’t researched it, two, you don’t want to know, or three, you’re with military industrial complex. Please don’t shut off with that statement but read.
The military industrial reference is in line with Project for a New American Century, a neo-conservative think tank that published, Rebuilding America’s Defenses, a document that lays out American military dominance in the coming century. Such members of PNAC include Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, and Paul Wolfowitz. All would serve in the Bush Administration and just as they wrote, “some catastrophic and catalyzing event – like a new Pearl Harbor,” would be needed to get the American people on board with fighting in multiple theaters and drastically increasing defense spending to secure American dominance. Heck, Trent Lott and Newt wrote Clinton a letter from PNAC demanding a harder stance on Iraq in 1998.
But, even before these plans, others were in the works to bring down the Twin Towers, why, asbestos, 400 tons in the construction. Asbestos served to make construction materials stronger and heat resistant. Unfortunately, it’s a health hazard for humans, causing mesothelioma, example, our first responder’s aliments. Thank God for John Stewart and his staunchness standing up to Congress last year, “As I sit here today, I can’t help but think, what an incredible metaphor this room is for the entire process that getting health care and benefits for 9/11 first responders has come to,” Stewart said during a House Judiciary Committee hearing on reauthorizing the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund. There was too much liability on the owners for the health hazard the Towers caused, they had to come down.
Let’s get into some meat of 9/11. If others care to discuss it with me, I ask two simple questions to determine their intellectual responses. First, how many buildings fell in New York, and second, what happened on September 10, 2001? Most Americans will not know the answers to these but we should educate and ask their opinion once the information is processed. Not just the Towers but WTC 7, 47 stories, fell at 5:20 pm. It was not struck by a plane and no skyscraper in the world has ever collapsed to due to fire. The BBC actually reported its collapse before it happened. Larry Silverstein, lease holder of WTC since July 2001, builder of WTC 7, and benefiter of $4.55 Billion insurance deal that he only put up $14 million for, told a PBS documentary, on Tuesday the 11th, “I remember getting a call from the fire department commander, telling me that they were not sure they were gonna be able to contain the fire, and I said, ‘We’ve had such terrible loss of life, maybe the smartest thing to do is pull it.’ And they made that decision to pull and then we watched the building collapse.” The worst attack on American soil, chaos, loss of life, and unknown, they rigged the building with charges and dropped it? This doesn’t add up.
On the 10th of September, Donald Rumsfeld, Secretary of Defense, said, “According to some estimates we cannot track $2.3 trillion in transactions,” Rumsfeld admitted. So you’re saying the military can’t do bookkeeping? The week prior Bush was asking for $48 Billion in new defense spending. America’s cash crop is weapons, let’s not kid ourselves. We do own 11 aircraft carriers, how many you got? In addition to blowing stuff up we also love rebuilding infrastructure we’ve destroyed. (Joe Dirt reference) Bush promised not to “Nation Build,” but he formed Homeland Security and it ran a tab of $548 Billion from 2001-2016, according to Brown University; some conservative. Follow the money!
The evidence that struck my eye the most and made me hesitate what I was being told was the Pentagon footage; or no footage. A commercial airliner crashes into the most secure building in the world and there is no video footage! Still photographs were released, while local gas station video was confiscated. First, how would any aircraft violate Pentagon airspace? Two, the hole is nowhere near the size of a Boeing. Third, there is no wreckage on the lawn. Fourth, the incident occurred in an under construction area. The building did not collapse immediately, but, after the impact due to the fire, even though the tail was tall enough to take it out all levels.
In New York, a French film crew, were the only ones to get video footage of American Airlines Flight 11 impact on the North Tower, although Bush said, “And I was sitting outside the classroom waiting to go in, and I saw an airplane hit the tower – (CNN 12-4-01) The world watched United Flight 175 hit the South Tower, while the President sat in a classroom in Sarasota, with no TV. How long did he sit after hearing America was under attack of unprecedented brute force? 7 minutes reading, “My Pet Goat.”
New York has many questions as well. One, the black boxes were never found but passports of the Hijackers were. Two, many fireman (People Mag 9-21-01) and citizens claim reports of explosions. Three, it sure looked like a controlled demo. Four, no fire has taken down a skyscraper in the World, ever. The fuel argument seems weak, considering most went up in a blaze upon impact. These Towers were built to out-live Katrina force winds, hence the Asbestos. Builders had seen planes hit high-rises in the past, On July 28, 1945, a B-25 Mitchell bomber of the United States Army Air Forces crashed into the Empire State Building in New York City, while flying in thick fog. 3 crewman, 11 office workers, an art studio penthouse, and elevator shaft damaged in this tragic accident; The Empire State Building structurally was not compromised.
Fun Fact, the 9/11 commission didn’t get started until 442 days later in November 2002. Did I mention the put options, 450,000, placed on AA the day prior, that the stock would tank. “Sources tell 60 Minutes that the initial options were bought through at least two brokerage firms including NFS, a subsidiary of Fidelity Brokerage, and TD Waterhouse, a discount firm.” More, ok, “The same thing happened with United Airlines on the Chicago Board Options Exchange four days before the attack. An extremely unbalanced number of trades betting United’s stock price would fall.” “We can directly work backwards from a trade on the floor of the Chicago Board Options Exchange. The trader is linked to a brokerage firm. The brokerage firm received the order to buy that ‘put’ option from either someone within a brokerage firm speculating, or from one of the customers,” said Randall Dodd of the Economic Strategy Institute. But, no names or arrests were made, shocker.
Do we forget the Phoenix memos from Agent Kenneth Williams, Germany’s notification in June, July Egyptian intel of Al-Qaeda men training on cessenas, Putin, Mossad, the U.K., and Jordanian intelligence warnings prior to 9-11? Not to mention the Presidential Briefs of August 6th, ‘Bin Laden Determined to Strike in U.S.’ The President and Vice President declined to testify under oath to the commission and had separate closed door “friendly” conversations. And, why did NORAD not act accordingly? Well, they had been running these exact type of simulations, in fact, “It is clear that at least one of these planned exercises, Vigilant Guardian, was actually being conducted on 9/11.” Mock hijackings were occurring on Tuesday morning, General Arnold, Tech. Sgt. W. Powel and Lt. Col. Dwane Deskins have stated that when they first were informed about hijacked airliners they thought it was “part of the exercise”. This is also corroborated by tape recordings from the control room of NORAD’s Northeast headquarters. “When they told me there was a hijack, my first reaction was ‘Somebody started the exercise early,'” Lieutenant Colonel Kevin Nasypany told Vanity Fair author Michael Bronner.
Have you ever trekked from coach to the bathroom on a Boeing? Not that easy. Box cutters and men not trained in heavy duty aircraft operations preform flawless technique, “They almost had to hit the towers like they were threading the eye of a needle,” said Michael Barr, director of aviation safety programs at the University of Southern California and a former Air Force fighter-bomber pilot. And, last but not least, my 2nd favorite Bush quote, “Let us never tolerate outrageous conspiracy theories concerning the attacks of September the 11th; malicious lies that attempt to shift the blame away from the terrorists, themselves, away from the guilty.” Why would there be a need to make this statement?
Whether you agree or hate what I have presented, I think there is enough evidence to concur, government officials were aware of the coming attacks. The loss of lives at home, the wars fought abroad in blood in treasure, and our Liberties have been taken. For what, the 1%, I mean what did Al-Qaeda attain?
The People got, Transportation Security Administration, Homeland Security, The Patriot Act, and the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act. Two wars with 4,424 dead, 31,952 wounded, and our suicide and drug overdoses cutting American life expectancy the last 3 years; winning? Haliburton had some record breaking years, hope you had stock options. Let’s talk about kneeling.
