Cleveland Brown, Myles Garrett Stays or Departs?

The #1 overall pick in 2017 out of Texas A&M, Myles Garrett (how come there’s no cool nickname, like helmet smasher? What taser face?) has done his duty for a ball club that has not delivered a chance to the top defender in the league of a championship chance at a ring, and so he has asked, demanded, to be traded; can we as Browns backers let him go and empathize or ask for his service as agreed upon?

What can we say about Garrett besides his stats because really who cares when the guy single handley has scored points and won games on the wrong side of the ball!  The only reason the Browns took him #1 was because he was head and shoulders a god among young men.  His softer side has been noted and I think he’s a gentle giant but that doesn’t mean he won’t compete until the win is achieved.  Myles is a generational talent with the heart of the Dawg Pound that’s hard to say goodbye to.

Although he’s under contract for 2 more years he’s had enough of losing and rearranging on a team that Kevin and Andrew bet the house on after the Browns had crushed the Steelers, barely lost to a Chad Henne 3rd down miracle in KC, and through Baker under the bus.  The team doesn’t have a starting QB and another rebuild or Cousins plug in is to much for Garrett to stomach.  It’s tough for us fans but being there everyday is more difficult, it’s his job, his life, identity.

If the Browns don’t go with a veteran they gamble again on a rookie and no old Nick Chubb to help carry the load.  The season will be under construction, Cleveland’s other season.  The defensive end is approaching 30yrs. old and the body, mind, and heart have probably aged like Obama after 8yrs. in the Oval on the North Coast.

I read the Eagles may be able to hand over a King’s ransom for him and if that’s so maybe lock it in.  Even better if instead of pics they take DeShaun’s contract and free the Orange and Brown of the worst deal in sports history.  Would Kirk work, well he and Kevin are tight, and I believe in “you like that” but if we’re going that route take A-a-ron.  Myles may take a trip to Costa Rica with Rodgers and the spirit world where a successful Browns campaign could be revealed.  Adding Rogers adds value because he’s on Garrett’s stage and that would reinforce the seriousness of winning now.

But I have no idea what Berry and Stephanski are thinking about.  They might take Travis Hunter at #2, which would be sweet but leaves us short in a QB for the future.  In a perfect world our #2 QB pick should sit like Aaron did because we’ve seen QB’s killed in Cleveland.  Colt was hit with what would be 2 visits to the blue tent against the Steelers and we could backtrack from Couch days but that guy is doing great!  Looks like a pro bodybuilder.  The Browns look like they’re going to be homeless until the Dome is built in Brookpark.

Does Myles deserve a shot somewhere else, yea, sure but it sucks.  My feelings are hurt that we in Cleveland can’t have a Costner to put it together when there are so many stars on our team.  With an audience that buys everything and screams ‘Go Browns’ whenever the moment presents itself.  I suppose we’re addicted to losing like gambling addicts.  We are naïve as fuck that next year will be ours but we seek the blow that cuts our heart out with a spoon (it’ll hurt more).  I suppose a loss is like a win for others, we expect it but with what drama?  A guy that never watched film, a sexual predator, or Pittsburgh dismantling the Jim Brown of today?

Whatever the front office decides to do I’ll be tuned in, and I hate that I want to know their inner circle more than Trump’s.  Because Draft Day is awesome, but this seems so hush or not real like a Watson interview, total bullshit.  Like we’re throwing DTR to the wolves, let’s see what he’s got.  “Come On Man,” this is not a product that is acceptable, but I can forgive the trade if we get some transparency.  Don’t keep asking me to live and die for a W on Sunday if you keep to yourselves and Bill Belichick me.
